Poppy Mesh

$250.00

silkscreen monoprint with image transfer

14x17", 2024

float-mounted and framed in 16x20" white frame

Silkscreens are usually done with very fine cloth that yield highly detailed images. Using a much coarser mesh from an outdoor chair as my screen, I painted with silkscreen inks directly on the mesh, additionally pushing the ink through with a squeegee, all atop an image transfer of California poppies.

Made during my Kala Art Institute residency, May 2024
